Mr. Hillary Kigen Koech

Experience & Activities

Hillary is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Nairobi and a professional member of the Geological Society of Kenya. He has experience in geology of Ore deposits and Industrial Minerals as well as Environmental Geology. Hillary is currently a geologist at the Ministry of Petroleum and Mining – Kenya where he has been involved in several programs and surveys for the Government of Kenya, among them:

• Being a member of Scoping Mission Task Force on Lake Level Rise 2020: Lake Victoria, Turkwel dam and nine Rift Valley lakes
• Naivasha Dry-port and Special Economic Zone geo-hazard mapping; and,
• Lava tube mapping for World Bank Funded Kenya Informal Settlement Improvement Program (KISIP) at Naivasha
