The Governing Council Committee
The Governing Council Committee comprising of professional members responsible for the management of the society.
The professional committee
The Professional Committee sets the guidelines for admission of members to the professional membership category as per the requirements of the constitution. The committee also handles the nomination and selection of the Fellows of the Geological Society of Kenya.
The programmes committee
The programmes committee is constituted by the Governing Council is responsible for planning and executing activities on behalf of the Society. This Committee is also responsible for the publication of the Society’s Quarterly Newsletter.
The advisory committee
The Advisory Committee consisting of senior members of the society whose role includes identification of certain critical issues, investigating and discussing them, and proposing solutions and recommendations safeguarding against conscious and unconscious biases of the Council and Society.
